THAT IS NOT A DREAM! A dream is meant to be so high.
It would seem to be impossible but is achievable in due time...
LIKE AIMING TO BE THE NEXT BILL GATES!"

The point came into my mind

How can i start and end my career if
I dont even have a DREAM!

I pity myself upon hearing his statement

But it gave me a push!

"You study and create complicated future technologies
but you do not even know how to use the simple existing technology (pc)"

These were the words that out burst from the lips of our
professor in our department last november 22 08.

It started when the reporting tools and materials were
unprepared and it took us an hour before its preparation
(installation of LCD & transferring files from usb ).
then, the sermon began...

kaboom!!!

Everyone were shocked and terrified inside the cold computer laboratory.

The sermon lasted for more than an hour.There was really an
outburst of emotions ,flaming eyes and undesired facial expression. Even his finger
were pointed to different person. But no one can deny, oppose and speak out for
everyone was guilty. Noone was worthy!

Sitting in the middle of the class, i just nodded in every words he spoke for
such things are DEFINITELY TRUE.
And in the back of my mind,words crossed the threshold.

"You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky,
yet you don't know how to interpret the present time?"

This was Jesus' statement 2000 years ago

both give a sermon
with same thought
but different person
at different places
at different time

THIs GUY IS not just a teacher!
He is a preacher in disguise!

I was a victim of it...

who has the remedy???

how can i get rid of it???

i was busy surfing in the internet...

looking for a good research topic...

and i found one....

but rejected!

i found another

still rejected!

i found the third one...

and its pending....

wow!!!

my 1.4 kilogram brain cannot contain this TRAGEDY(in my own point of view)....

im tired and exhausted

again i searched again and again....

and again....

as i read others research topic....

i also look for infos about it...

and i found myself busy, gaining more information...

i now see it as knowledge investment!

there's nothing to be sick of

i must enjoy despite the suffering

looking it as a challenge, a task!

as i can recall, in my high school days, i envision of extinction of going to school but having just portfolios and projects to be submitted on a specific time. No students in campuses!
for i hate going to school!!!

i am experiencing it now but i am scratching my head, complaining!

it was a vision made true!

there's nothing to complain!

i have the cure of my weakness which is laziness!

Publishing a research on a top tier journal would be a great achievement. The process takes a long time examination of the journal being presented. As i have found out,[1] " Most manuscripts are rejected, often multiple times, before publication. Most academicians experience such failure and rejection. You should not take criticism as a personal attack, indeed, doing so may undermine your chances of success" (Stake,1986).
With this, its a warning and an advice for a person if he/she plans of submitting a research journal to be published.

EVALUATING A RESEARCH

Evaluating a whether a research paper is good or bad is critical. Every research is presented in a way that could attract and could make believe that it was the truth. Truly, it would be a presentation of what they wanted to prove. Sometimes. It could be deceiving, bias and prejudice. It is hard to identify the flaw and its imperfection without the correct procedure.

I researched about the proper way of evaluating the research and here are the tips i found.

Desirable Practices

1. Attempts to fairly present all perspectives.

2. Provides context information suitable for the intended audience. This can be done with a literature review that summarizes current knowledge, or by referencing relevant documents or websites that offer a comprehensive and balanced overview.

3. Carefully defines research questions and their links to broader issues.

4. Provides accurate data and analysis in a format that can be accessed and replicated by others. Quantitative data should be presented in tables and graphs, and available in database or spreadsheet form on request.

5. Discusses critical assumptions made in the analysis, such as why a particular data set or analysis method is used. Indicates how results change with different data and analysis. Identifies contrary findings.

6. Presents results in ways that highlight critical findings. Graphs and examples are particularly helpful for this.

7. Discusses the logical links between research results, conclusions and implications. Discusses alternative interpretations, including those with which the researcher disagrees.

Having read the information given by the resources below, I was deeply pleased. The development of Computer Science Research undergoes a rapid progress. Not only in the production of excellent computers systems and developing programming languages, it is spreading its limitations of work to become more functional in any fields of life. As stated in the resource, “Current projects involve collaborations with the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, and Mathematics and Statistics, among others.”. It is too pleasant to see that the state of their research is overwhelming and influential in their ways of giving instruction. In fact, last MAY 2008, they had hosted a program and it was said that “Six distinguished scientists were invited to give keynote addresses.”. How great it was of having speakers of scientists just to be more credible and empowering!

“The research-project eSTUDY – eLearning in studies: How do students evaluate and useeLearning? was conducted by the working group of educational psychology at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz on behalf of the bm:bwk. It was examined for the field of higher education how students use and assess eLearning in comparison to classroom teaching and what influence individual and institutional respectively organizational framework requirements have on the evaluation and use of eLearning.”

The paper resulted of having both classroom and media based teaching have their own advantages as I also would give my evaluation to such discussion. E Learning is advantageous in same cases such as time and effort reduction which would be present to students residing in far places. Classroom teaching also gives a more clear and physical instruction which allows students to develop and practice their social interactive ness to their lecturer and classmates personally. As what we are doing now in most of our subjects, we have joint both and it work very satisfyingly.

Students’ Choice of Information Technology Majors and Careers: A Qualitative Study

“Researchers conducted focus group interviews with 54 undergraduate university students majoring in computer science (CS), computer engineering (CE), and information technology and informatics (ITI) to determine why students choose a particular information technology (IT) related major and an IT career. Results suggest that students in the study who chose IT majors and careers were influenced by positive experiences in high school, interest in computing, an aptitude for math and physics, perceived job prestige, the expectation of a good salary, the encouragement of family members, and the influence of a key individual such as a teacher or work supervisor”

Nowadays, many students are into studying in computer related course which is primarily caused by the advancements in the computing industry which is much needed in employment matter. To think it more deeply, as I too questioned myself, why I chose to pursue this course? I would say that it is because of my interest to know more the information about these technologies I am enjoying. I see more than just computers, but skills which are very important like logical thinking, interpersonal and intrapersonal interactions. It is more about love of what I am doing that gives me motivation.

These days, Ink Jet printers have boost up its sale in the market. Its rate has increased in a remarkable way generating a competition with the existence of laser printers. Because of the competition, there is a burst through of ideas about the enhancements of the product. The capability of the printing technology of the inkjets becomes more reliable. Having close to the printing output to laser printers yet cost low, preference by the users in the office, home and printing business is in great percentage. With this, I see the struggle in marketing of laser printers.
